Acclaimed ceramic artist and shop manager for Frank Gehry, Marc Digeros sculpts pottery that seems to have formed itself by blurring the line between functional and decorative objects. Drawing inspiration through vintage textile and architectural adornments, Marc examines the elements of space, function and surface by sculpting
his pieces with a consideration of the relationship to its surroundings. Each piece is hand-built using thin slabs to construct walls that wrap around slump-molded bases, leaving clues and seams as to how they were constructed. The end product manifests itself as functioning pottery, sculpture, and somewhere in- between.
